It has a unique long lake shore drive and 1 thing I like about Chicago is that people love walking in market. Yes, this is a city for people who love walking (and ofcourse jogging too). Some of the popular and must to see places in Chicago are mentioned in this blog.
1. Sears Tower
Yes, it deserves to top this list. For some time, it was the tallest sky scrapper in world. It has a skydeck on 103rd floor from where you can stand on a piece of glass and can see down 103 floors till the road. Isn't that thrilling.
2. Navy Pier
At Chicago’s Navy Pier, one can ride the 15-story tall McDonald’s Ferris Wheel, take your kids to the Chicago Children’s Museum(free entry on Thursday evenings) or see a movie at the IMAX Theatre. The Pepsi Skyline Stage hosts countless live shows featuring everything from dancing to rock concerts. Haunted maze here is just amazing that will take just 10 minutes but will give you enough fun.
3. Millennium Park
Our next attraction is Millennium Park right in downtown of Chicago. It’s surrounded by Michigan Avenue, Randolph Street, Columbus Drive and East Monroe Drive.
4. Shedd Aquarium
Many visitors to the city really enjoy a trip to the Shedd Aquarium, where the display of marine life provides an exceptional opportunity. It is located right outside Addison CTA Red line station making it easy for people to come here using public transport.

Known for its iconic marquee, the Chicago Theatre is one of the most historic Chicago music venues in the city. While it also met with a wrecking ball in the 1980s, the building was restored to its former glory and reopened in the fall of 1985. The venue now hold several different stage and comedy performances a year, including several shows by Cirque du Soleil.
Besides these exciting places for visitors, there are good places for Chicago residents too spend time on weekends. All the residential apartments at lake shore drive and close by have such nice view of Lake Michigan that it always gives a fresh feeling.
There are various lovely parks in Chicago and these are always crowded with people in summers. Kids like playing in these parks.
Winters in Chicago are really chilling. People have seen Lake Michigan frozen and people literally walking on lake which is never advisable ( and I guess, not even allowed). I was able to capture one such pic when lake got changed to snow.
